Issues: Human Rights

In 2015, at least 122 countries tortured or ill-treated people worldwide. Despite our ever-socially-evolving world, human rights violations remain consistently abhorrent. This book features articles from organisations such as Liberty, Girls Not Brides and Amnesty International, alongside many others – exploring issues such as child marriage, torture and FGM. It also looks at human rights law in the UK, internationally and within Europe. This includes examination of the Human Rights Act, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, anti-slavery laws and the European Convention on Human Rights.
